Avoid Eversource Eastern MA Rates Increase

Eversource Eastern MA (NSTAR) service area is a deregulated electricity market that allows residents to shop around for a competing energy supplier. If you’re currently on the basic generation service, then you can avoid the 20% increase by locking in a supply rate with a competing energy supplier. Long-term fixed rates will put a ceiling on the price and protect the customer from any increases in the energy market. If you decide to switch energy suppliers, then you will still receive only one electric bill from the utility company that incorporates both the delivery and supply charges.
